John Dyer

Effective Resilience was founded by John Dyer who draws on over 30 years’ experience leading and developing individuals and teams, enabling them to perform in often pressured environments.

As an officer in the NZ Army, as the CEO of a high-performance sports institute and as a Senior Advisor with the International Federation of Red Cross; he has led, trained, coached and mentored both individuals and teams ranging from small groups of 3 – 5 to over 100.  John has traveled and worked extensively across the globe and has been privileged to work with and experience many different cultures.

Today John’s focus is on enabling individuals, teams, and organisations to be more agile, particularly in the face of challenges.

John has Post Graduate Diplomas in Business Administration, and Defence/Strategic Studies; a Master of Business Studies, and has completed advanced courses in performance coaching.

He was awarded the NZ Gallantry Decoration in the 2000 Queens Birthdays Honours list for his actions during the evacuation of UN and other personnel from Sierra Leone in January 1999.
